Wasserburg’s City Run: Challenge Cup for MEGGLE
Gerhard Mittermaier, Electronics Consumer Products, received the challenge cup for the largest group of runners on behalf of MEGGLE from Maria Hessdörfer (left), the head of the multigenerational house. Sarah Oberberger, Junior Business Partner People Development, organised the participation of 134 MEGGLE athletes.
"When many move, something moves." The motto of the Wasserburger charity run also applied this year at a virtual premiere. Instead of running together in Wasserburg's old town, the runners and walkers started individually this weekend, whenever and wherever they wanted.
Traditionally, the athletes support the multi-generational house with the entry fee, an institution that brings people together. This year kilometres and donations were collected for the 11th time.
In 2020, MEGGLE provided the largest group of athletes. 134 employees laced up their running or walking shoes on 4 and 5 July. MEGGLE thus provided half of all participants in the charity run. By taking part, they were not only doing something for their own health, but also supporting the multigenerational house with their entry fee, which MEGGLE took over for the staff again.
As a thank you for their great commitment, MEGGLE was once again presented with the challenge cup. The 134 MEGGLE participants received MEGGLE barbecue packages as a reward. The fastest runner in the competition was also delighted with a real highlight: a ride in the MEGGLE hot air balloon!
