New apprentices at MEGGLE

The new MEGGLE apprentices with their Head of Vocational Training Anja Neff.

A new part of life of 20 young employees began on Tuesday, September 1st. The new apprenticeship started at MEGGLE.

2020 MEGGLE welcomes new apprentices in Wasserburg; although under slightly different circumstances. Distances have to be kept, a mask has to be worn in rooms or as soon as the distance cannot be kept. The newcomers to the profession are trained as milk technologists, electronics technicians, dairy laboratory assistants, industrial mechanics, IT specialists and industrial clerks. 2 of the 20 young people started their apprenticeship at a milk-processing company in Rosenheim, which will be closed next year. MEGGLE is giving them the opportunity to complete their training as milk technologists.

But before the apprenticeship started in their professions, the young people were given an insight into the traditional Wasserburg company on their first day. The prospective trainers and the Young Employees Representation introduced themselves. For the first time, all apprentices were divided into groups to keep the number of people in the rooms as low as possible. Training courses on occupational safety and hygiene protection but also a tour through the Weberhof, during which the young employees learn all about the history of MEGGLE, are a part of the first days at MEGGLE.

"The current situation also presents challenges at the beginning of this years apprenticeship. Normally, we would have gone to an external seminar for some days, like every year. Our apprentices now have the opportunity to get to know each other at our headquarter with a distance. Nevertheless, this enables us to strengthen the cohesion across all occupational groups", explains Anja Neff, Head of Vocational Training at MEGGLE.

Although the new apprentices have just started their training at MEGGLE, preparations for the 2021 training year are already in progress. Applications for the apprenticeship can be submitted until September 15th 2020 at www.meggle.com/karriere.
